Winning the SEC East during his tenure was tougher than the ACC
Football factories USC, UT, and Florida all had their moments. Florida won a couple of titles. Also, Auburn was x-division rival, and GT their annual OOC game. Add that to occasional games against Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, and whoever else might be good in the SEC West, and you've got a tough schedule every year.
The ACC really only has two elite football programs - FSU and Clemson. VT, Louisville, UNC et al might have their moments, but Miami's schedules will probably always be easier than was Georgia during Richt's tenure.
If Miami can maintain their current recruiting run, Richt will have an easier path than at Georgia, assuming UM has the cash to pay decent assistants.
