Given that WVU is north of L'ville and the Backyard Brawl

is a bigger rivalry than the Black Diamond Trophy, I am a little surprised you didn't place WVU and Pitt in the same pod. It would allow NC State to be in the same pod as Duke and UNC. Then again I am also assuming that L'ville (or maybe Notre Dame) would want to be in the South pod because of how valuable FL is for recruiting. The other possibility is that Notre Dame (or maybe L'ville) could want be in the same pod as Texas.

Also, if the ACC hasn't figured out who gets the remaining 2 spots, then 1 of the spots would probably go to Wake. As long as Wake remains in the conference, then it may be enough to get NC State to go along with being in another pod from UNC.
