Good point Lakeridge. The $12 million surplus in donations...

is a big plus, but can Tech keep that up? How does Clemson do it with a smaller living alumni base?

And another question is: will $12 million extra in revenue necessarily yield a significantly larger profit for FY 2018 with all the new hires, facilities upgrades, etc.? Without analysis and a good calculator, I suspect FY 2018 will be a big profit year for us. But sometimes the bottom line surprises you.

I know there are years at my work when we are overworked, understaffed and seemingly making money hand over fist, but profits are smaller than expected at the end of the year. Yet, there are times when I feel things are slow and not as efficient, yet profits are higher. Business is funny that way sometimes. But being in the consulting world is much different than being in the big money Power 5 world. I'm sure Tech will be on the plus side for several years as long as we don't build a new basketball arena or add several new sports programs.
