What objective measurement is there for characterizing a fan base?


If donations and ticket sales are off the table, how can you tell?

And by the way, it's not as if VT fans are affected by economic pressures that don't exist for others. VT is a large university with wealthy alumni. I would hope VT alums have at least as much disposable income as those of WVU, Ole Miss, Louisville, etc.

There is nothing wrong with keeping your income to yourself, just don't pretend to be dedicated to the program when other schools have alumni that actually walk the walk.
