I'm glad VT is hosting Friday games. It may be our only chance to get a

night game every year.

Thursday games were great for us. We built our brand on winning almost all our Thursday night games but now the NFL has 2 games on every Thursday and College football ratings that night have tanked. A good program like VT can get better ratings on Friday and it's a better home game experience.

It sucks that it competes with High School football but since UVA and the North Carolina schools have to do it too we're not really catching any flak for playing on Fridays. It's just a necessary evil.

The one Friday home game we did have, vs. NCST I believe, was electric. It had all the excitement of a Thursday night game but people didn't have to take the next day off work. With the SEC getting first dibs on all the night time slots, Thursday or Friday home games are our best chance to have a night game.

In my opinion, the Friday game we did have was a great experience and I hope we have more of them. Preferably the first week of the season or Black Friday as to not conflict with High School football.
