I think they would prefer one of the Nevada schools, Boise State, etc.

It looks like they want to see what happens with the Big XII, but Texas is really the only one Larry Scott wants. If they take Texas, they should take New Mexico for some geographic consistency. The culture divide between California and Texas couldn't be on more divergent paths though. The odds of that happening go down over time.

The religious, military thing seems to just be Left Coast Attitude. What's going on in Janet Napolitano's California System is not open minded.
