Yes, the Big XII had awful television contracts (at least for viewing)


when Nebraska was in it. The PPV games are about providing live options to the fans for games that aren't going to be picked up by the conference television contracts. If fans can't travel to the game, a fair number will be willing to pay PPV prices to watch. I'm not sure how what the slice of revenue was to the schools involved, but probably a decent bit too.Since Nebraska joined the Big 10+, it's a non-issue since all games are televised, so no more PPV games.
