It goes back a looooong way....

They have a lot to do with why VT was not in the ACC long ago...ie in the 60s/70s.

You may or may not have heard about a little episode with them and Frank Beamer in 2000 involving Jim Weaver and poker.

When VT did get a chance to enter the ACC that UNC couldn't do much to stop, the rationale behind their publicly stated opposition was rather obnoxious. Google Sue Estroff.

"The Carolina Way" in general...eye roll...at least now everyone has found out what it really means.

They are too soft to play in adverse conditions and then blame the WEATHER for the fact they got their hind parts handed to them. (In my opinion, this part is actually hilarious).
