I was sitting in the WKU student section and we were getting our asses handed to us. I left. By the time I got to the motel we had closed the gap ... eventually winning in OT 89-85 ... so I decided to stay for the Sunday game vs Indiana. Tickets were being scalped and Kentucky and Indiana fans were paying $200 and more (that's 1979 dollars). I found out where much of our alumni were staying and told someone I needed a ticket. Someone produced a ticket for me, at face value. That ticket was second row, mid-court, and was from Charlie Moir. Loved that guy. We played Indiana strong, but lost. I'll never leave a game early again.
