I understand that makes perfect sense. When the actual poll
comes out the readers see how many points/votes each team received, which gives the reader the impression of how much difference the voters think exist between 2 teams. So I was kinda curious if the individual voter ever thinks of it at that level when voting for a poll (doesn't necessarily have to be a preseason poll).
The "machine" reference for 'Bama and the potential swapping between VT and WVU kinda gave the impression that you may have thought about it at some level. At least that OSU could either be a distant #2 or really a #3 (if you could leave #2 blank). It is fine if you didn't because ultimately more interested in seeing your explanations for each week. It isn't too often the readers gets see of a voter for all the polls especially since fans tend to clamour for more transparency from the voters.
So I want to say thanks for deciding to do this and I hope some day we see more voters decide to do it.
