Players being interviewed....

Are players taught how to conduct an interview? Is there some portion of camp called Interview 101?

I remember when Moses Malone was in high school 40-odd years ago, he answered questions by basically changing them back to statements. So the interviewer kinda would lead him along to get the answer he wanted. Kids still do that. Then they add in "definitely, definitely" or some other catch phrase that tells me absolutely nothing.

Interviews like that are worthless except to see how a young football or basketball player handles himself. These kids come up to the podium, and we are excited to see them, but really? All I got out of Cam Phillips at the ACC get together was that dawg is a pretty spiffy dresser whose attitude is chill and who reminds me of Dion Sanders or some other hyped players. Not my style, but I get it, although I don't need to see it if that's all I'm going to get out out of a presser.
