It is sad. Do you think it is because men's sports pays the bills?


Whether it is HS, college, or even the pro leagues, men's sports seem to get more attention than women's sports. In HS and college, typically football and men's basketball is what "pays the bills" for the other sports. So I would think there is some sort of correlation between the 2 things. Scientifically proving it is whole another matter.

FWIW I watched last year's College Cup Championship Game and I was impressed by what I saw from WVU. I remember 1 of the announcers saying that WVU is returning basically everyone (I think they lost only 2-3 players) and should be a lock for the championship game. If WVU doesn't win the national championship, then do you think the team/fans will consider the season a disappointment given how few players were lost from last year's team?
