Do most people appreciate how powerful the sun is?

all this talk about destroying eyesight and all in seconds. It's Mind-blowing to me...

If the sun was the size of a basketball on one end of a basketball court, earth would be about the size of a sesame seed at half-court. Think of all the energy earth receives from the sun in one second... you can instantly feel the heat on your skin and damage your eyesight. And then, to realize that is only a minuscule fraction of the amount of energy put out in total by the sun. (think about the sphere around the sun(basketball), extending to half-court and how much of that surface is covered by the sesame seed.(earth))

Then, to think that level of energy is put out, constantly by the sun is mind-blowing. If we could figure out a better way to efficiently capture that energy, imagine the possibilities.

If that stuff doesn't make you go, WOW, there is no hope for anything amazing you.
