San Jose State transfer Brandon Clarke

Has VT in his finalist list...6'8 PF

A couple things from browsing his stats:

59% Field Goal Percentagethis is a great number, especially for the number of shots he got up last season...for reference, it would've ranked 1st last season on VTs roster (Chris Clarke was 1st last season at 58%)

Not a stretch 4only 3 3PAs on the year, so he will likely play as a small ball 5 in certain cases

Almost half of his 8.9 rpg were on the offensive end...meaning he has a great motor and instincts to locate and go get the ball

His field goal attempts are very rarely higher than his point total...some kids will jack up a ton of shots (think Kobe in his final season) in order to fill the stat sheet with pointsyou are efficient in your scoring when you keep the number of attempts below how many points you score (essentially 50%+ in true shooting percentage)

He scored 36 points on 22 shots against Air Force...and 24 points on 12 shots against Bowling Green

You can make an argument for competition level, but he won't dramatically lose his ability to gain position and put it in the basket wherever he goeshis skills translate

Will have 2 years of eligibility remaining after sitting out

Would be a great learning tool for PJ Horne during the redshirt year
