Not sure chanting "Let's go" or "Hokies" is really going to rev the engine
Playing well in the 3rd quarter is going to do that.
I'm fairly indifferent to the cessation of the Hokie Pokie. Per the point other posters have made, I have some concerned about the homogeneity of our gameday experience. One of the aspects of college football that appeals to me versus pro sports are the unique aspects of collegiate sporting events versus pro games. Generally speaking, you can go to any pro stadium or arena, see the same pre-game performers, the same "kiss cam" and same "smile cam" and hear the same music.
There's something to be said for those "hokey" traditions that only we care about and no one else may know. There's value in being unique. It's hard to put a finger on, but it feels as though we are losing that a bit.
