Here's my white buck...
Notice how it looks like it's frosted. It's not totally white, which is common for the white whitetails. Each hair follicle was white except for 2 tiny ticks of brown at the tips. The width of those ticks varied based upon where it was on the body, but all of them were the same.
I think the gene only partially expressed itself as the lower legs were a light brown, definitely lighter than a typical whitetail winter coat though.
Had no idea what I had until I walked up to it. It was standing in some shade so I had no idea it would be something special like this. Dad was on the stand next to me, was a special day for both of us.
