Stats don't tell the whole story.

I don't think we necessarily have big drops at 125 and 157. Sal was more of a clutch tournament wrestler than a dual meet wrestler because of his gas tank. He was able to consistently shoot off attacks that wore guys down in tournament settings. I don't see Blees as a huge drop off by any means.

125 again there are factors. Dance typically was only going to get you three points even against guys he was much better than. Norstrem is a bonus point machine. He will no doubt have some more losses than Dance did and there is a drop off there, but I wouldn't call it a big drop.

Brent Moore at 141 is even quite the upgrade from Norstrem last year. Had Norstrem not taken the lay off then this would be a different story.

Also up until the end of the year we were giving up six points at either 133 or 141 and I don't see that happening anywhere this year.

Now against any of the top 4 teams in Penn St, Ok St, or Ohio St. I would say last years team would fare better, but still come up short. The easiest way I can put it is putting last years team side by side and doing a mock dual meet.
