it doesn't seem nearly as impactful as it did in the old days (when VT hosted before). It could be the way-too long broadcast, and expecting crowds to be present and pumped up for that whole time. It could be ESPN's challenges with non-game programming these days. It could be the changes and additions in personnel (who or what is this Bear?). Or it could be that I'm old and this show in just uninteresting. But hosting this at VT doesn't move the needle anymore. Just give us that 8:00 PM slot on ABC and the exposure will take care of itself.
