And that's why in the last 2 recruiting years, the Big targets we pursued were almost all in that size, more athletic, more versatile Bigs. We just lost Forrester, in the 6-7, 6-8 range...Those are the types we are now recruiting. McCormick was/is the exception. Because he's a bitch and you go after those types and he transcends your typical 'prototype' Big.
Everyone would take McCormick but moving forward I believe it will be mostly 6-7, 6-8 types . Maybe 6-9 or so when they show the athleticism, agility , mobility and versatility that the slightly smaller types possess. Not 6-7 because you specifically want to collect 6-7 guys but because a lot of schools will not have 6-7 guys as priority types and that lack of ideal height allows you to collect quality at an undervalued cost.
