VCU cancelled GRE and LSAT testing today due to Confed protests

My daughter drove 3 hours last night to Richmond so she could take the GRE Chemistry subject test scheduled at a VCU building. When she arrived this morning, the testing firm said VCU shut down their buildings today because of the Confederate statue rallies on Monument Avenue which are at least a mile away.
Lots of pissed off college students who came to take GRE and LSAT tests. They said most came from out of town to take the test. Said they could not confirm the students were not protesters so VCU decided to shut down their buildings.
Next test date is late October which may be too late for my daughter to submit scores for her grad schools applications.
They could have easily posted a police officer at the entrance to the building and only let in those who are registered to take the tests.
