I hope it does, that would be great for the sport
May not be great for the NCAA's pockets to have a lot of talented players not playing but it will make the game more competitive across the board and when more teams are competitive more fans are engaged and the sport is healthier IMO.
The NCAA's failure to deal with the NBA's silly 1 year rule is a key contributor to this. Everyone keeps saying that the NCAA can't do anything about it without the NBA but that is bull. All they had to do was put in place a rule like baseball has that if you sign an LOI your scholly is "used" for 3 years. A kid leaving after a year can happen but for schools like KY they would run out of scholarships in about 2 years.
