I'm nervous about Saturday Night's game!

I can't really explain it but I believe that VT could very easily win on Saturday yet they could fall flat as well.

I look accross the trenches and I see talent galore & strength and size unmatched in VT's history. I see some game breakers on offense and a group of running backs seemingly waiting to be unleashed. On defense I see LBs & DBs that have size, talent, expereince, speed & power.

It seems like the stars are aligned yet I'm not sure I want to put my whole heart into it just yet. I keep asking myself am I only looking through maroon colored glasses? Then I think of special teams & Bradburn VT's punter is awesome & Slye is a proven kicker & the return folks on the KO & P teams are explosive.

So I keep wondering why I am nervous? The fans will be loud and awesome. Clemson's new QB probably has never experienced this level of crowd noise. So I think I finally understand the block that has me right now. Call it the Vick effect if you like. You see VT was the best team on the field that night against FSU for the national championship, but turnovers, nerves, awe of the experience settled in and it took VT a half to get on track until the show literally began. VT can't afford to lose its home crowd on Saturday against Clemson. And I wonder if it is going to take a half not unlike last year to get rolling and this time it might be too late.

Go Hokies! Play hard & keep pounding! We are behind you all the way!
