Leaving the program to try and salvage this season and avoid having to use intramural students to field a team. Padgett will do that. An interim coach is really the only way they could go at this stage anyway, if that's the path they are taking. No one is coming from outside the program for 1 year.

Louisville is taking a sort term outlook at a long term solution. It's risky doing this without question. And one correction, Padgett is not the #2 guy but the #4 guy. Or in other words, the one full time assistant that has the best chance at being viewed as not part of the problem perhaps.
