Recruiting Weekend and More Personal Matters


I posted this on Flo and wanted to repeat it here:

I'm going to add a personal comment here for any of these potential recruits and their parents to understand and appreciate the close knit community and quality coaches that they have the opportunity to join at Virginia Tech. My son is on the wrestling team, and we lost his sister / our daughter last week and buried her this weekend. Despite this incredible recruiting weekend - the biggest in the school's history - Coach Robie traveled 10 hours round trip to be with us for services Thursday night. Other coaches and wrestlers were with my son last week and on Saturday. Besides being extraordinary coaches and wrestlers, these are quality people; the type you would hope to have influencing your sons as they continue their wrestling careers and education in college. I had to share that. Sorry if it is too personal for a wrestling forum.
