As I speculated below, if we played the New England Patriots and inevitably lost, no one would come on these boards and complain about the coaching staff, the players, etc. Why? Because no one would have expected us to win. The level of disappointment expressed is correlated with the expectations prior to this game.

There are people who, post game, have said their expectations for this team have been revised downward as a result. That is a clear indication that they had high expectations. I'm not going to bother sorting through three days of posts to find them.
