including space running backs to run and man to man coverage.

Against a team with the level of talent that Clemson possesses, overfocusing on the QB makes the running backs more effective and the secondary less able to stop the passing game.

Ideally against an average team, you accept having man to man coverage, you trust the defensive line witll contain the run, but Clemson is too talented for that alone to work
