Clemson was good, but not great when Dabo took over.
They had won a national championship about 50 years ago, but no recent success (at that level). He went from that to "top 10" recruiting classes and a national championship relatively quickly.
Nick Sabin took a little time, but he also build a juggernaut team relatively quickly, and he's maintained that level of play.
Both of these guys blew past a lot of programs to get to the top. They should be emulated.
