ND will definitely be bowl eligible this year. It wouldn't surprise me to see them win 10-11 games. And that's what needs to happen. The ACC is likely to get a playoff team in Clemson, and is also guaranteed the Orange Bowl. So ND can't hurt us there. At 10-11 wins they would likely get one of the at-large spots in the Peach, Fiesta, or Cotton. But at 8-9 wins they can steal one of the ACC's other bowl tie-ins. The Citrus or Russell Athletic would get first dibs, and they would almost certainly pick an 8-win ND over a 9-win VT or Miami. The rule is that ND must be within one win of the team they displace, so from here on out ND needs to do either really bad or really well.
