A tax evasion case can be built for every one of those cases.


Whether they will or not is something else. But every player, every family who got huge "signing bonuses" and didn't report it on their taxes is guilty of tax evasion.

Obviously, there must be other laws that have been broken. As far as the Feds go, they can pretty much investigate any thing they want, just by using the "interstate commerce" clause of the Constitution.

For example, if person A who lives in Richmond, VA texts person B who also lives in Richmond, VA, then interstate commerce has occured, and the Feds can interject themselves.

How is that interstate commerce you say? Because the server where the text message goes to before being delivered is out of state.
