My wife (sorry, no shun) and I have an elderly friend living with us.

My wife took off a few days to go to the VA hospital in Richmond, Virginia to get his heart checked out with possible stints put in. No stints were put in and they got back last night.

This morning he was not feeling well, so we called the VA hospital. We were waiting for a call back from his doctor.

He came into the house an hour later and he said he needed 911 called. I called 911 and had ambulance in route. 911 told me if things got worse, to call them back. Within a minute, he was unconscious. I called back 911 and my wife performed CPR on him.

They have helicopter him out from my house to a local hospital. The ambulance crew said we save his life by our actions since we live in the boonies and it took the ambulance 20 minutes to get here.

My wife has made it to the hospital one hour a way and is a nervous wreck I can say, I need a drink, but will have to wait. I am still shaking from the experience.

He is a good guy with a will to live, so positives thoughts can only help.
