I don't disagree, but Alabama had more significant losses after last year
It seems that the conventional polling wisdom was that because Clemson lost high-profile offensive weapons Watson and Williams, they should be below Alabama to start the season. But Alabama lost 4 first round picks, 3 in the second round and 2 in the third round. Clemson had those 2 in the first round, none in the second, and 1 in the third round. On paper, Clemson was bringing back more experience, but just not at quarterback. But now after five weeks, they have proven their quarterback is very solid and dependable, so why today is Clemson not ranked ahead of Alabama? I know why, but it shouldn't be that way.
