At the time, LVille's athletic dept was in much better shape than MD's


MD was bleeding money and their revenue sports were in shambles. Lville OTH had a winning B program and of course a winning BBall program. So on a athletic dept to athletic dept basis, LVille was (at the time) an upgrade. That said, they brought little by way of markets, we lost the MD market and by in large the DC market, the BIG gained a ACC charter member, DC Baltimore market and the BIG can now have their conference bbal tournament in the heart of the ACC. And NOW we now the extent of the BS going on at LVille, losing MD was bad for the ACC and LVille is a downgrade
