I agree with your perception most Americans have with soccer


So why do you think rugby isn't more popular here? Regardless whether you are talking league or union, I would think the American audience would enjoy watching 15s for the toughness with moments of brilliance from a pass or the ball carrier breaks away from the pack. Yet at the collegiate level 7s seems to be the only collegiate rugby televised here. I would say 7s is more about speed and maybe less toughness when comparing the level of physical contact between 15s and 7s.
