This makes sense. I just haven’t had any U.S. earned income in a long time

According to the IRS tax calculator, based on me claiming myself and my daughter, plus the child tax credit, I’ll owe around 5-6% of my total pay in federal income tax. Plus 6.2 % for SS obviously. I guess I just need to see what is being taken out every two weeks to see if that will cover that. I’ll be earning dollars in Mexico, and making about three times what I currently earn, so it’s a big move up, but it’s not nearly as cheap to live here as people think, and I see no reason to give the IRS a ton of money that they’re just going to give me back back(interest free loan and all that) My start date was approved yesterday, and I’m just waiting on the final offer in writing at this point. It has been a long process but should be well worth it. Thanks for the feedback.
