It was not smart or remotely funny. This isn't a "haha 'ol Harv sure did...

...step in it this time" situation. The guy may literally have on the order of 1000 victims over the course of his career. Actually that's probably conservative. He's a monster.

It's not impossible to mine a situation like this for dark, pointed humor, even this early on in the story, but it's not remotely a suitable topic for a throwaway line about a pro sports team going through a rough patch. Just insanely idiotic.
