Geez, the drug use scandal has even gotten to the Iditorad. After all the drug news over the past couple of decades, I shifted my focus to sled dog racing. Good tough athletes doing it purely for the love of the sport. No lust for money, no commercial endorsements. It was pure. It was "Sports"!!

I've especially become a fan of one sled dog team. They're alpha dog is Rex, the sweetest husky you'd ever meet, and his Lead Dog partner Rusty, guiding the team over the Tundra.

Tramp and Snowhound held down the "Swing Dog" positions, and are great at making those turns.

The Core 6 "Team Dogs" of Bully, Trekker, Moonlight, Chewy, Boo and Angel provided the brawn, giving this elite team the speed they needed.

And finally, the 2 "Wheel Dogs", the strength of the team as they're the ones who provide the initial pull at the start. Donner and Scraps. Great dogs.

But now, I'm crestfallen. They've tested positive for Tramadol. Say it ain't so! What is left to believe in?
