Battleships still have their place, as will CVNs in the future.


Battleships just can’t do battle at sea like in the old days, but they are still incredible gun platforms for NGFS...best in the world actually...

The CVNs advantage is as a mobile air field. Being able to place a fighting force off the coast without having to gain approval from a nearby host country (to base & operate) aircraft is a huge plus.

As for the next great advancement...probably space.
