Good to hear. I prefer this approach.
I know the last 2 years a big part of our approach has been to limit matches, with the idea of staying healthy as possible for March.
I get it, it makes sense and its hard to argue with the results from the last 2 years. Other teams (especially OSU) take the same approach.
However, I always thought by skipping the Hokie Open we were hurting our border line NCAA qualifiers. Seemed like our guys were missing out on an opportunity to get matches and wins on their resume that may help when it comes NCAA selection time. Get these matches in early, in our own backyard instead of chasing opens later in the year. Its so early in the season, theoretically we should have time to recover if we do run into any injuries.
