Simple really


1. QB needy teams. Every year someone reaches on a QB simply because they need something and they're hoping the guy they know little about is better than the guys on their roster they know something about
2. Analysts and "experts" need to have an opinion. Each of them wants to make a prediction and be right so people will continue to tune into them and use them as their "go to" right source. They'll pick a guy they think is NFL something (size, arm strength, etc.) and they'll ride that opinion all the way through the draft whether there is information available that contradicts or reinforces said opinion
3. Once the analysts start talking about someone, other analysts, game announcers, TV hosts, etc. are fed the same scripts to read from. Hardly any seem to do real research these days
