off. She committed a crime by slapping him (and nobody is arguing that she has a right to slap him). He should restrain her and let the judge decide her punishment. Her punishment comes from the judge, not the cop. You don't get to do whatever you want to somebody just because you're a cop and they slapped you.

I get why he did it, but he needs to hold himself to a higher standard.
