Sure. Fact Check: Will’s article from last year

“”Motu has been very good in pass coverage and is a good sideline-to-sideline run stopper, but he isn’t physical on runs up the middle and can be easily sucked into vacating his spot.

Leaving the middle open is one thing, but Motu was soft even when making the tackle. Looking at his 13 tackles in the running game, not one of them was for a loss, and in fact, on those 13 plays, Georgia Tech gained 92 yards, an average of 7 yards per carry. On plays where Motu was involved in the tackle, the Jackets picked up 5, 2, 9, 4, 7, 27, 5, 4, 11, 1, 4, 2, and 11 yards. Much too often, he wasn’t physical and instead “caught” the ballcarrier instead of delivering the blow, leading to extra yards after first contact.

If Paul Johnson is coaching the Jackets again next year, this will be a problem again next year. (I’m assuming Motupuaka will be the starter again in 2017; I don’t see a change at this point.) Look for PJ to do what he did this year: run up the middle, negating Motu’s greatest strength and instead playing to his weakness. He’ll throw in a few keys to get Motu going the wrong way, and the pressure will be on Virginia Tech’s defensive tackles to make all the plays, or the runs will go for medium to long yards. Bud will have to get difference-making plays in the run game from his whip and rover, or it’ll be a long day. “”
