An equalizer, at least in part, would be the lack of TV timeouts.


In the mid seventies, a team had to be built with players that were conditioned to play with few breaks.

Today’s fat linemen would be gassed, especially against good opponents. Televising almost all games has enabled the modern day 320lb lineman.
