I’ve been watching Howard tape and I’m excited

He may be a good candidate for a gray shirt. I think he’s going to grow into a heavyweight, but could go 197 or maybe slim down to a 184. He’s got a really wide thick build. I think a gray shirt would be good to decide what weight he’s going to go and the commit to it in his redshirt year. I think he would be best suited at heavyweight, but that would probably depend on where he stacks up against Jeff Allen.

It’s definitely not a huge recruiting class, but we also have a really young group right now. We have a ranked true fresh/redshirt fresh/soph at every weight right now except 157(I’m counting the Moores at 141/149). This year and next year aren’t going to be big recruiting classes.

I suspect our next big class will be 2020 which should be a good one as I suspect us to be back in the top 5 that year.
