To me, the X's and O's / playcalling is not as concerning as...

the leadership, or lack there of, that Fuente is displaying "when the going gets tough".

I, like many of you do not agree with this play or that play call, but honestly, I have continually believed that VT will be fine in the long run regardless of the current X's and O's.

Also, we have seen that Fuente can recruit great players as he has the past two years, and last year they have shown they can win with a team "that has little margin for error" (to use his words). If you want to go back to the big 3 players we lost from the 2016 team and the big difference that made, where are those guys now?

But what I want to write about are his post game comments the past two weeks, which were not only wrong, they were dangerous to the state of this program. These comments if he does not change his tone and words will affect the current players and his overall leadership going forward. Finally, his lack of being able to look in the mirror of both himself and his coaches and how they were ill prepared, is also very concerning.

Sorry, folks, I know this will rub many of you the wrong way, but as a leader myself (and I sure many of you are as well) his lack of confidence, transparency and negativity about this current team (as well as not taking chances with these players) does not instill hope moving forward, as we may see more players transfer and may also adversely affect recruiting.
