Style and Preference and Fun

Before I say anything else, let me first say that I want Virginia Tech to win 100% of the time and am happy for them when they do. I feel bad when they lose.

That being said, I don't seem to enjoy the style of ball they play. Even when they put up 50 points. That is after 1.5 years. I am a boring old school guy (who is under 50 years old). I get tired of seeing the team line up in the shotgun every single play. I am tired of never seeing us being able to line up in traditional sets and simply run the ball in a physical manner. I think that is just the type of offense that Fuente runs, it just isn't as much fun for me to watch. And watching football is about having fun, being entertained.

None of what I said is a criticism of the coach or the team. Just a statement of what I enjoy. And, given that schedules are tight, limited hours to watch football each week, I find that for some time now I don't always focus on watching their game, and might watch another game that seems like it will be more enjoyable, or which my sons want to watch, even if I think VT will play "well" and "win." I do check the scores and want them to win and am pulling for them, but if I have only 3 hours to watch the game, I want to have fun doing it.

Please don't shoot me down as a traitor or say I have bad-mouthed the coaching staff or players.
