Nebraska wasn't in a conference with any Texas schools until 1996.


Yes, TCU is a lot better now than they were during the SWC days. For a time, at least, SMU was also a major player for Texas recruits in those SWC days, though.

If Virginia Tech can get recruits from Texas, then VT should probably be recruiting Texas. Nebraska has always gone to Texas for some of their recruiting, including many years before the Big XII, and will likely continue to do so.
