Re: Hopefully 2.0 involves an integration into trackwrestling or flo.
That would require me to go backwards in versions ;). Just messing with you...
Ultimately, real-time information is the end-goal with WrestleStat, how that's done is yet to be determined.
From the get-go, I've wanted WrestleStat to be updated "Wiki-style" where any user has the ability to update the information on the site. Right now, it's a little bit of "I don't want to open it up completely yet", and still too many opportunities for bad data. As an example, if a wrestler isn't on a roster, then user "x" goes and creates that new wrestler, even though they USED to be on the roster, or another teams roster, then I have a duplicate wrestler. I obviously have a "merge wrestler" process, but it's not fully automatic yet. Those little data data discrepancies that I'm trying to avoid since they cause more work for myself, and the other guy that helps (and does most of) the data entry.
I obviously have an "approval queue" to handle/monitor most of this stuff, but there's still background knowledge that is required to do everything correctly, or as close to correct as possible.
Regarding the version, WrestleStat is actually on version 3.0, the 3rd complete re-write of the architecture. I will say, it is a VERY solid code base, just little things that need to be cleaned up here and there now.
Now back to your original reply, maybe someday Track or Flo approach me, if that happens, I'm absolutely willing to talk...but that has not happened. I'm guessing in their eyes, I'm just some dude in the basement of my house and not causing them any disruption, or taking away from their business, so they don't really care about me.
Sorry for the long-winded response...
