The UVA talent level wasn't far off from VT's at that point, but the team was kind of shell-shocked at going from 11 wins to needing to beat UVA just to finish 6-6. That would've been a really easy game to spit the bit, and it also needed some horrible clock management for which London became infamous in order for VT to even kick the winning field goal.
