I don't buy the survey...


People (in large numbers) make decisions based on cost, regardless of what an individual might say.

Lots of people will go to a gas station whose sign shows gas as 3 cents less per gallon than one a half mile down the road. That's less than a buck difference to fill their tank. Not everyone does that, but enough people do that the station down the road is forced to lower its price or lose significant business.

You can't tell me that some % of people won't make a decision based on potentially hundreds of dollars of saving? Not everyone, but enough to make it hurt.
