USA Today: Maybe Football isn't fading away, just moving where it's played


Interesting article from USA Today focusing on what has been discussed here many times. The demographic trend for football recruiting of high school talent is very good in ACC states. Florida is especially strong.

This trend bodes well for the ACC and the SEC. The article has a map of the states showing the trends. A couple of them seem odd to me (Texas and Minnesota). Other than those it is consistent with what has been happening.

Regarding expansion and conference realignment, this trend may improve the standing of options like USF and UCF if football is going to continue to be the driver. I still think the ACC should still get WVU however.
